Dean Bakopoulos: ‘Because Thou Art Lukewarm’: A Meditation on Fevers and Chills (January 2021)

$5.00

Bakopoulos examines the interplay between hot and cold elements in a work. Focusing on work fiction and poetry by Raven Leilani, Sarah Gerard, John Murillo, and others, he looks at poems and narratives that seem to be overtaken by fever in certain moments, how and why those fevers get broken, and ways to resist the dreadful spiritual and literary condition of being lukewarm, a common plague on first drafts.
