Matthew Olzmann – Definition and Intent (July 2021)

$5.00

Defining “poetry” can be more challenging than one might imagine. Many common definitions are either too vague (allowing everything to be called a “poem”) or too narrow (thus excluding a vast array of poetries that don’t fit). Drawing on work by Patrick Rosal, Carl Phillips, and others, Olzmann’s lecture considers several perspectives on what a poem is and does.
